CW 191
Well, the last couple of weeks have been difficult to say the least! My husband was in a wreck and that kind of sent our world into a spin. Luckily he was not seriously hurt. His car was totaled though. Then, several other things hit all at once and we were down to one car. As a result of that I wasn't able to make it to the gym regularly. It also got cold and rainy here so I couldn't run at the house either 😖 In the past I definitely would have dived into a bag of fast food to make myself feel better. I am such an emotional eater and food makes me feel better. I don't know what happened last June but a switch flipped and I'm really able to resist that now. I WANTED to binge, I WANTED to dive into comfort food and just indulge and feel better. I didn't though. Even though I couldn't work out the way I wanted I maintained my diet. And, it all paid off. This week we've been able to get my husband another vehicle, that he really likes, and the other issues have slowly been working themselves out as well. Eating would not have fixed any of my issues and by resisting the (incredible) urge to eat I was able to maintain progress toward my goals. I still managed to lose 2 pounds and I can't ask more than that. I am very proud of myself for not giving in to the cravings and this week I can get back to my workout routine. Life is good.
